Multi Parts Solutions acquires HKX, expands into construction equipment segment

Multi Parts Solutions (MPS) has acquired HKX, Inc., a Monroe, Washington-based manufacturer of auxiliary hydraulic kits and control-system solutions for excavators and other heavy equipment.

The acquisition marks MPS’s entry into the construction equipment market and will establish HKX as its third operating division, joining ACC Heavy Duty, which serves the commercial vehicle market, and MPS Automotive, which focuses on automotive applications.

HKX has more than 30 years of experience developing install-ready hydraulic and control kits that enable excavators and other heavy equipment to operate attachments such as breakers, thumbs, shears and rotating tools. Its technology has evolved from traditional pilot controls to advanced electro-hydraulic and CAN-based systems, allowing equipment controls to be integrated with or enhanced through the machine’s existing electronics without triggering system errors.

MPS said the acquisition will provide HKX with additional resources to expand its product range, strengthen customer support and accelerate growth while maintaining the company’s engineering-focused and customer-driven approach.

HKX will continue operating from its Monroe facility, which provides in-house fabrication, CNC tube bending, kitting and application engineering capabilities. These operations enable the company to respond quickly to customised customer requirements.

Existing HKX leadership and employees will remain in place, with Robert Burnett continuing to lead the division. MPS said it will invest in the business while maintaining HKX’s established relationships with dealers, OEMs and equipment owners.
